Built in the UK, for the businesses that live on their phone.
Ringmere is an AI phone receptionist for UK service businesses. This page is who makes it, where we are, and what we think the product should and should not do.
Who we are
Ringmere is built and run by Peoplely Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16386277) with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, London WC2H 9JQ. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (reference ZC192829), and Ringmere is a trading name of Peoplely Ltd.
The company was founded by Ash, who leads the product and still answers the support inbox. Ringmere was engineered by AMK Coding, the UK software studio Ash also founded, and launched in July 2026. Ash writes the guides on this site; the comparison articles say so plainly, because a vendor comparing itself with its competitors should tell you who is holding the pen.
What Ringmere does
It answers a business’s phone, WhatsApp and text messages around the clock, in a natural voice, and completes the job on the call: it quotes only the services and prices the business has approved, checks live availability, books the appointment into Google Calendar, Outlook or its own diary, takes restaurant orders and hotel bookings, and puts urgent calls through to a person. How it works shows the three-step setup; pricing is public, from £49 a month with a 7-day free trial.
What we think it should not do
- It should never invent an answer. If a caller asks something the business has not approved, Ringmere says so and takes a message.
- It should never give clinical, veterinary, legal or financial advice. Those calls are taken down and escalated to a person, with context.
- It should tell callers it is an automated assistant. That disclosure is on by default and stays under the business’s control.
- It should keep caller data in the UK, name every sub-processor, and say plainly which of them process outside the UK. That is what our privacy policy does.
- It should publish its prices. A quote-led receptionist is a receptionist you cannot compare.
Hear it before you trust it
Ringmere answers its own phone. Call 07888 870150 and you will reach Wren, the receptionist on our line, who can tell you about the product and book a call back. Or try the browser demo on the how-it-works page, which runs the same voice model as the phone.
Where we are listed
Ringmere has a verified listing on Trustpilot, a product profile on Capterra, a company page on LinkedIn, and a launch page on Product Hunt. Reviews on those sites come from customers; we never write or pay for them.
Contact
Email info@ringmere.com for sales, support, press, partnerships or a Data Processing Agreement. Ash reads it. For data-protection requests, the same address reaches the person responsible.
